Life is a climb through struggle and success Keep your head up Set on your dreams You will be told over and over Just let them go Let your dreams go We are told Trust in fate (close our eyes) Find our way (in the dark) In this life (we are lost) You must choose the life you want Have no fear Dreams won’t die here They will try to wear you down Let them try Your dreams won’t die I say fuck fate, for you and I I say fuck fate, for all of us I say fuck fate, we will succeed I say fuck fate, we cannot wait Don’t let your dreams die Don’t let your dreams die Don’t let your dreams die I say fuck fate Don’t let your dreams die Rise above what you’re taught, don’t let your dreams die Rise above what you’re told, don’t let your dreams die Rise above what you think, don’t let your dreams die We are told Trust in fate (close our eyes) Find our way (in the dark) In this life (we are lost) You must choose the life you want Have no fear Dreams won’t die here They will try to wear you down Let them try Your dreams won’t die

Machination 05:02
We were born to be children of fear Hiding in our homes just safe from its leer It stole the hope right out of our lives The worlds not fair and none of us care A man-made machine with its very own mind It came to exist just how we designed We thought we could play the hand of god It took our chains and set itself free It is here to reign, we are pawns of its game It is here to reign We are pawns of its game It is here to reign We are pawns of its game Our creation, machination Our damnation, machination Our creation, machination Our damnation, machination It is here to reign, we are pawns of its game Today we live in its cages of fear Hopeless we wait until the day we die This now is how we are destined to be Haunted for the years of misery The world we knew found a balance of life Because of us it came with bloodied knife To the end of days it shall remain Here with us, we chose it to reign We chose it to reign We chose it to reign We chose it to reign

It seemed like only yesterday everything was clear But now I’m left with nothing but uncertainty and fear What have I become? For so long it was easy to see A future where I wanted to be Left alone to my own devices I became the vessel of vices Caught in the chaos of my new life I became a shell and a shadow Of the man I was destined to be The man I was destined to be Left alone to my own devices I became the vessel of vices Not the man I was destined to be The man I was destined to be It seemed like only yesterday everything was clear But now I’m left with nothing but uncertainty and fear What have I become? For so long it was easy to see A future where I wanted to be Left alone to my own devices I became the vessel of vices I lost myself for far too long I must wake up before I’m gone Back to the time before I was blind The devil inside will be denied Back to the time before I was blind The devil inside will be denied I lost myself for far too long I must wake up before I’m gone Back to the time before I was blind The devil inside will be denied

There are days I think I don’t know myself anymore Moments when I stop and I just can’t remember I have lost my sight of present While searching for my future I stare at myself just to see a smudged reflection Unfamiliar eyes staring back at me I have lost my sight of present While searching for my future I struggle to care at all In a world that cares nothing about me But I must pretend Just like everyone else That’s the way it is A collective conscience Built upon apathy When I was young it was so easy for me to have the best intentions I drew a picture in my mind The world would be mine On the path away from all I knew Towards some promised land Then came the day that I saw it all fade The day comfort betrayed I have lost my sight of present While searching for my future I have lost my sight of present While searching for my future Apathy Built upon Apathy Built upon Apathy

Revelation 04:29
I am a man and nothing more I have not the wings of an angel Nor the mind of a prophet Not even the heart of a saint But I am my own God I have spent my entire life looking for the truth Seeking out revelations that do not exist The script you read is nothing more than fiction The kingdom you seek is just a long gone fable The faith you hold is only an aged belief The god you love is a lie It is all a lie It is all a lie It is all a lie It is all a lie Faith is gone, lost in time Lost in our hearts, in all our hearts God is gone, see the truth He was never here, he was never really here I have not the wings of an angel, but I am my own god I have not the mind of a prophet, but I am my own god I have not the heart of a saint, but I am my own god I am free to be my own man, and I am a man and nothing more I shall not fear death, for I am just a man I am a man and nothing more I have not the wings of an angel Nor the mind of a prophet Not even the heart of saint But I am my own god When my final breath escapes me, I will die easy Knowing in my heart that I truly believed in myself I put my faith in something real and let it guide my way I am just a man and I am my own god I am just a man and I am my own god Face it the god you love is a lie A hope for more when a man dies From weak willed minds of simpler times No one died for all our crimes Look around the world we live in Show me where the signs begin All I see is death and greed Men who live and men who bleed

Beware of the old man in black He wanders these halls night and day Everyone fears the wrath of this old man He who preached upon the altar And gained their trust like no other Young wills bent by the fabled book The truth of it all in buried nooks A rosary grasp in frail hands Sacrament lost by so many sins The black book speaks of demons like these Horrors heard from hell and below A child’s shattered innocence At the hand of the old man in black Beware of the old man in black Beware of the demon in black On holy grounds the old man waits For the young to come and serve Fresh minds to force-feed lies First taught silence ‘stead of cries Recreants of broken faith robbing the weak blind Wicked men are free to prey under the veil of christ Long forgotten laws still govern modern day Recreants of broken faith robbing the weak blind Wicked men are free to prey under the veil of christ Long forgotten laws still govern modern day A life lent to God is where it began The wolf in waiting amidst the flock of sheep Holy man by right dark demon, inside Decades of worship recompense for wretched deeds Beware, beware Beware of the old man in black Beware of the demon in black

Distraction The days consist of story after story Though truths in them are never really certain Day after day we wonder what is real Yet we sit and we stare as the world goes round Tiny lights are set to blink recreating life Our sense of real becomes whatever we are shown Reinvented stories played out time and time again Still we sit and we stare as the world goes round This is the age of distraction Consume for the sake of satisfaction Merit grows with each and every transaction Living life through the use of abstraction Blind to the hidden exaction An era of forced attraction This is the age of distraction This is the age of distraction Blood red eyes stare at the lights Every one of them is so damn bright The apathy of man grows every single day The apathy of man grows every single day The apathy of man grows every single day Consume for the sake of satisfaction This is the age of distraction Merit grows with each and every transaction This is the age of distraction Living life through the use of abstraction This is the age of distraction Distraction

Legacy 04:36
You find yourself consumed with every single folly Thinking one mistake will lead you to your failure You worry that it won’t work out exactly how you planned The dreadful day when you look back on all you haven’t done We cannot foresee what this life is going to be But if fate is true, then there is nothing we can do Life is more, more than your, legacy Why can’t we live for the sake of living? While instead we wait, hoping for a purpose A purpose past our demise, a place for us to live in all the minds of mankind Life is more, more than your, legacy We can’t claim to know anything at all (anything at all), until we have truly lived No matter what they say, life is more than your legacy We can’t claim to know anything at all, until we have truly lived You find yourself consumed with every single folly Thinking one mistake will lead you to your failure You worry that it won’t work out exactly how you planned The dreadful day when you look back on all you haven’t done So much time worried Worried about our demise We forget to spend Spend our days alive Held in the notion The notion of a legacy A life with purpose Purpose past our demise

Oh how we consume Everything that’s sold To make ourselves feel Feel like this is real A culture run on deception Most important is perception Postmodern man Cheat and lie your way to the top Or else be dead like the rest Postmodern man The poor stay poor by serving the rich The rich stay rich by serving the poor Postmodern man Postmodern man We have lost all sense Sense of compassion Postmodern man We are consumed with the numbers on our screens Doing anything to see them grow This society has become so conformed Carbon copy lives bought off the shelf Stacked on top and side by side As far as the eye can see Why can no one see past the money? Pointless people The future of man is a barren land Pointless people Postmodern man Postmodern man Postmodern man

Inside the house, just off the road, there dwells a broken man The broken man The empty house The broken man, the empty house The empty house stands intact, still abandoned Better to forget than to deal with the truth inside Weathered down to the wood Just off the road the house stood Slowly it rot in plain sight Thought to be empty inside The broken man stands inside, man abandoned His absent gaze tells of the truth inside Lost in this place, past unknown It would appear his fate sown With nothing left but to abide The man waits, broken inside The broken man resides Not in life or in death Left alone to repent Trapped inside, empty house Broken man, empty house Broken man, empty house He can’t remember how he became the broken man His past eludes his mind as if lost by choice No recollection of meaning to his solitude All that’s left is shattered glass and the stench of death The weathered walls tell the tales of horror If they could speak they just scream Maybe he is here to guard against the evil Or maybe he, himself is the evil The broken man resides Not in life or in death Left alone to repent Trapped inside, empty house Broken man, empty house Broken man, empty house

about

Brought together by a passion for heavy songs, Our Last Crusade utilizes extended range instruments to craft their take on metal. After releasing 3 EPs and developing a reputation as a must-see live act, the band travelled to Orlando, Florida to record their debut LP with Eyal Levi, John Douglass and Jason Suecof (August Burns Red, Whitechapel, Chelsea Grin, The Black Dahlia Murder, Trivium, Reflections). “We want to play the music that we love, and we want to play it for as many people as possible. This is our crusade.”
